Patriarki Dan Perempuan Dalam Alkitab: Sebuah Tinjauan Historis-Teologis Dari Kejadian Hingga Injil

Abstract

This study is motivated by the ongoing theological debate concerning patriarchal structures and the position of women in the Bible, which are often interpreted in an ahistorical and purely normative manner without sufficient attention to the development of divine revelation and socio-cultural contexts. The aim of this research is to examine how the concept of patriarchy and the roles of women are portrayed and progressively transformed within the biblical narrative, from the Book of Genesis to the Gospels. Employing a qualitative research design with a historical-theological approach, this study analyzes biblical texts in dialogue with the ancient cultural background and the chronological development of biblical theology. The findings indicate that the Bible does not statically endorse patriarchy; rather, it presents a progressive dynamic that leads toward the restoration of women’s dignity and roles, culminating in the attitudes and teachings of Jesus in the Gospels.

Abstrak

 Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perdebatan teologis yang terus berlangsung mengenai relasi patriarki dan posisi perempuan dalam Alkitab, yang kerap dipahami secara ahistoris dan normatif tanpa memperhatikan perkembangan wahyu dan konteks sosial-budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri bagaimana konsep patriarki dan peran perempuan digambarkan dan ditransformasikan dalam narasi Alkitab dari Kitab Kejadian hingga Injil. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan historis-teologis, melalui analisis teks Alkitab, latar budaya kuno, serta perkembangan teologi biblika secara kronologis. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Alkitab tidak secara statis meneguhkan patriarki, melainkan menghadirkan dinamika progresif yang mengarah pada pemulihan martabat dan peran perempuan, yang mencapai puncaknya dalam sikap dan ajaran Yesus dalam Injil.
