Doktrin Kristologi Yang Alkitabiah Menjawab Kekeliruan Kristologi Monoteisme Pada Masa Kini

Abstract

This study examines the importance of a biblical Christology in responding to contemporary Christological errors that arise from monotheistic interpretations which deny or diminish the full deity of Jesus Christ. In recent years, various theological movements and religious perspectives have challenged the orthodox Christian understanding of Christ by emphasizing a strict concept of monotheism that rejects the doctrine of the Trinity and the divine nature of Christ. Such views have created confusion among believers and have led to significant theological deviations from historic Christian faith. The purpose of this research is to analyze the biblical doctrine of Christology and demonstrate its relevance in addressing contemporary monotheistic Christological misconceptions. This study employs a qualitative theological research method through biblical exegesis, literature review, and doctrinal analysis of key Christological passages in both the Old and New Testaments. Particular attention is given to biblical texts that affirm the deity, humanity, and mediatorial work of Jesus Christ. The findings reveal that Scripture consistently presents Jesus Christ as fully God and fully man, possessing divine attributes, receiving divine worship, and accomplishing the work of redemption that only God can perform. Furthermore, the study shows that biblical monotheism does not contradict the doctrine of Christ’s deity but rather finds its fullest expression in the Trinitarian revelation of God. Therefore, a sound biblical Christology serves as an essential theological foundation for correcting contemporary Christological errors and strengthening the faith of the church in accordance with orthodox Christian doctrine.

Abstrak

Penelitian ini mengkaji pentingnya doktrin Kristologi yang alkitabiah dalam menjawab berbagai kekeliruan Kristologi yang muncul dari pemahaman monoteisme yang menolak atau mereduksi keilahian Yesus Kristus. Pada masa kini, berbagai gerakan teologis dan pandangan keagamaan menantang pemahaman Kristen ortodoks tentang Kristus dengan menekankan konsep monoteisme yang ketat sehingga menolak doktrin Tritunggal dan natur ilahi Kristus. Pandangan-pandangan tersebut menimbulkan kebingungan di kalangan orang percaya serta mendorong munculnya penyimpangan teologis dari ajaran iman Kristen yang historis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis doktrin Kristologi yang alkitabiah serta menunjukkan relevansinya dalam menjawab berbagai kekeliruan Kristologi monoteisme pada masa kini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan teologis melalui eksegesis Alkitab, studi kepustakaan, dan analisis doktrinal terhadap berbagai teks Kristologi dalam Perjanjian Lama dan Perjanjian Baru. Perhatian khusus diberikan kepada bagian-bagian Alkitab yang menegaskan keilahian, kemanusiaan, dan karya penebusan Yesus Kristus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Alkitab secara konsisten menyatakan Yesus Kristus sebagai Allah sejati dan manusia sejati yang memiliki atribut-atribut ilahi, menerima penyembahan yang hanya layak diberikan kepada Allah, serta melaksanakan karya keselamatan yang hanya dapat dilakukan oleh Allah sendiri. Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa monoteisme alkitabiah tidak bertentangan dengan doktrin keilahian Kristus, melainkan mencapai penggenapannya dalam penyataan Allah Tritunggal. Oleh karena itu, doktrin Kristologi yang alkitabiah menjadi dasar teologis yang sangat penting untuk mengoreksi berbagai kekeliruan Kristologi kontemporer serta memperkokoh iman gereja sesuai dengan ajaran Kristen ortodoks.
